Front Loaders Over a Top-Loader
In every washing machine decision, before one goes for the brand and features needed in a washing machine, there is a huge chance that a person only have two things to choose from first and that is whether to choose a front loader and a top loader. Choosing which of the two is important, for, choosing one type leads to choosing a brand and so on and so forth, and given that they aren't exactly cheap, this makes the choice much more important.
Then again, speaking of cheap or rather, prices, the wide gap between the two makes it important to consider which of the two should be chosen. After all, front loaders are typically put at a much higher price range as compared to top loaders. Most of the time, the cheapest front loaders could be at least twice as expensive as an average priced top loader, and even though there have been signs of front loader prices going down over the past few years, there simply is no way it would go down to the top loader price range.
Plus, aesthetically, some people does not seem to think that they fit into a conventional home. By they, I am pointing out to front loaders, this is because they seem to look less stream-lined and compact compared to top loaders. This may simply be because of the fact that they are manufactured for the higher-end market and not for the general consumer, which means, their design is meant for rich people, or the upper class.
This means that for a more consumer-friendly washing machine, a top-loader would certainly be a good choice. Cheaper, much more streamlined in terms of design, much more compact and most important of all, much easier to operate. Then again, the same cannot be said when it comes to quality and durability, given that between the two, it is clear that front-loaders are worth the extra cost.
In any case, though, you, an average consumer perhaps, may want to consider spending a little bit extra for a front loader, given that apart from the fact that they are expensive, they are much more durable and much more likely to last. Plus, they clean clothes much more effectively as well and do a much better job compared to top loaders.
Plus, another good thing is that apart from a longer JTM washing machine service warranty which may be a limited lifetime one, chances are, you won't need to call a washing machine repair service often with a front-loader.
